5 Principles For Success

There are key principles to success, which if followed properly will allow you to take your life to a new level. Eighty percent of success in anything is psychology and twenty per cent is mechanics. You have to get your mind right if you are going to succeed in any endeavour that you undertake. Your psychology must be in sync with your goals.

Below I will outline five key principles that will provide you with lasting change if you apply them in the correct manner. Change does not come about by just reading success material and then hoping for a miracle to occur, true change comes about from taking daily action in order to develop yourself into the right individual. Success is about becoming the best that you can possibly be, may these principles help you to be the best you and take your life to a whole new level.

  1. Raise Your Standards

If you want to see lasting change you have to change your identity of who you are within yourself. So many people have so many things that they should and would like to do but they never seem to get them done, they never allocate the time, money and resources to do what they truly want to do with their life because they are busy doing all of those minor things in life, like watching countless hours of TV, playing video games, watching hours of entertainment online, chit chatting, and doing nothing. You have to change your shoulds into things that you must do, have a must list, and hold yourself to a higher standard and get them done within a reasonable time frame. No more of this ordinary standards of leaving your dreams to the sidelines, let them take center stage in your life.

Action To Take:

Make a MUST list, things that you must complete in the next 6 months. People who are serious about success do whatever it takes, they find a way or they make a way. No excuses, if you want to take your life to a new level do what needs to be done no matter what.

“If you want to change your life you have to raise your standards.”

Tony Robbins

“If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t you’ll find an excuse.”

Jim Rohn

  1. Change Your Limiting Beliefs

Your beliefs are what control your life. They can help you to take action or confine you to a life of mediocrity. You must rid yourself of the limiting beliefs that you hold within yourself and think only thoughts that are aligned to the achievement of your goals. Believe in yourself and take action. Fears and doubts are inner conflicts that paralyze people from taking action on what they want as they perceive a negative outcome, expect success, be optimistic, and act as if it is impossible to fail. When everything inside of you is in total alignment with what you want, there are no limitations, there will be a higher level of certainty that propels you to take action on a consistent basis.

Action To Take:

Make a list of the top ten limiting beliefs that you have about yourself on a piece of paper, on the left hand side, then on the right put the heading action, for each limiting belief that you have, write a positive affirmative statement and list an action or actions that you must take in order to banish those beliefs that you hold within yourself, as action and positive affirmations breed confidence within yourself and helps you grow stronger mentally.

“Your beliefs pave your way to success or block you.”

Marsha Sinetar

“The only limits are those that we impose upon ourselves.”

By using other people’s success tactics you will cut out years of trying to figure out how to become successful.

Stumbling blocks are a part of everyone’s life, trying times come to us to test us and see what we are truly made of, some choose to cower aware mentally, the ones who succeed are the ones who stand up within themselves and resolve to do whatever it takes. Think of how life will be If you don’t become successful, to be confined to living a life of mediocrity, now that is a cause for concern, get focused emotionally on where you want to go and do what needs to be done.

Action To Take:

Emotionally prepare yourself for life’s setbacks and detours, know that you are stronger than you perceive yourself to be, life is a battle, and the mentally strong are the ones who ultimately win. Become emotionally focused on living the life of your dreams, have the dream in mind and you will be ecstatic every single day to put in the work so that you can take your life to wherever you want it to go.
